Matt Winer

Matt Winer is an American journalist who has worked for ESPN since January 2001. He is often seen as an anchor on ESPNEWS, the 6pm ET edition of SportsCenter, the lead host of NBA Fastbreak and also works on College Football Scoreboard on Saturdays during the college football season. He also often hosts the SportsCenter 30 at 30 Update during sporting events, especially Saturday Night College Football. Prior to ESPN, Winer worked at four different television stations which include: KTVQ-TV in Billings, Montana, WJTV-TV in Jackson, Mississippi, WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan and KSDK-TV in St. Louis, Missouri. KSDK-TV was also the former employer of fellow ESPN personality Trey Wingo (1991-1997).

Winer is a graduate of The University of Missouri, was a member of the prestigous Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He has been nominated for four regional sports Emmys.
