Matt Underwood

Matt Underwood (born May 10, 1968) is the play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Indians telecasts on SportsTime Ohio. He joined the Indians telecasts in 2007 after seven seasons as a member of the Tribe radio broadcast team. He also served as pre-game host on radio from 1994-2006 and on television from 1997-2005.
Prior to joining the Indians broadcast team, Underwood spent 16 years at WEWS-TV. Underwood joined WEWS as an associate producer of sports after graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1990. In December 1994, Underwood was named the station's sports producer and began reporting on all of Cleveland's major sports teams. He would later become the weekend sports anchor at WEWS and in November 1996 he became the station's sports director and weekday 6 and 11 pm sports anchor. [1] He also co-hosted a daily talk show on SportsRadio WKNR from 1993-94.
Underwood currently lives in Avon Lake, Ohio with wife Shelley and children Max and Devan.ty
