Matt Beresford Poore (b. 1 June 1930 in Christchurch) is a former international cricketer who played Tests for New Zealand in the 1950's.
An right handed middle order batsman and handy offspin bowler, Poore made his Test debut in March 1953 against South Africa at Auckland. He made 170 runs in the 5 Test series.
Although he failed to make a Test half century in his 14 matches he made 2 hundreds in first class cricket. He retired from cricket in 1956-57 following an unsuccessful summer where he made just 90 runs at 12.85. Four years later he made a comeback to first class cricket but that only lasted 3 matches.
