Matthew Mackendree Lanter (born April 1, 1983) is an American actor, and model best known for his role as Horace Calloway in the ABC television drama Commander in Chief.

[edit] Early life
Born at Massillon, in northeastern Ohio, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1991 at age 8. Currently, he attends University of Georgia and majoring in Sports Business but leaned towards an interest in the film and television industry created a strong desire to pursue acting instead. He still sees his father often because college isn't too far to where his father lives and his mother resides in Ohio. He played baseball, football and golf and was a batboy for the Atlanta Braves. He graduated from Collins Hill High School in 2001.
