Matt Jarvis, Psychologist

Matt Jarvis (born 1966) is a British psychologist. He is notable for his expertise in the teaching of introductory psychology. Teaching post-16 psychology is the standard text for trainee psychology teachers in the UK. He is a leading writer of introductory psychology textbooks and known for his research into the teaching and learning of introductory psychology. He holds various academic positions, including Visiting Tutor in the School of Education, Southampton University and Director of the Conversion Course for teachers wishing to teach psychology at the Science Learning Centres. Currently Matt is an elected member of the Psychology Education Board at the British Psychological Society.
