The Matharoos (also spelt Matharu) are a prominent Sikh Tarkhan clan found in Punjab,Northern India.

Matharus are considered to be one of the original Saka Tarkhan Tribes. They originate from the regions of Amritsar, Jalandhar, Lahore and Ludhiana in Punjab.
