Source: http://www.mattaxelson.com/ Matthew G. Axelson was born on June 25th 1976 in Cupertino, CA. He graduated from CSU Chico and went on to join the US Navy to become a member of their elite special warfare team, the Navy SEALs. He was deployed to Afghanistan in April 2005. During an Operation in late June his team came under attack from overwhelming enemy forces. Three members of the four man team, including Matt, were killed in action that day. He was a dear friend and will be truly missed.
