This is a photograph by Frank Matsura that was created as work for hire on Mar 2, 1912, when he was hired to take photographs of Ardes Nelson's fifth birthday party.
The photo is submitted as an example of Frank Matsura's pioneer photography. I wrote the basic article on Matsura, and wanted to show the quality of his work. This is scanned from our family archives, not taken from an online collection.
