There was a pretty substantial period of time where the road was not signed as Rt. 295—rather (at least heading west) it was signed entirely as "To 295" (with a corresponding sign on Rt. 41 at the terminus). It may or may not have been considered to still be Rt. 295 during that time period (which would have been during the 1980's). I vaguely recall that the last time I was on the road, it was signed as Rt. 295. --(no userid) 03:39, 9 August 2006 (EDT)
