Talk:Mason County Historical Society

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As far as I can see this is written from a nuetral point of view. If there is a bias, please let me know what that would be. This is a historical society and museum - besides being non-profit. There is no particular reason for a bias. It is only valuable as a research facility for those of northern Michigan for history. It is also for local genealogy because all the genealogy material from the largest library in northern Michigan was moved here.--Doug talk 23:53, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

To be honest, Im not even sure this article is appropriate for an encyclopedia. Anyone interested in the society could easily google it. BTW "Historic White Pine Village is where Nineteenth Century history comes alive with onsite buildings." is definitely POV, and all the stub sentences certainly do not prove this articles worth. Im glad I finally got a reaction to the ad tag though, since we can now (hopefully) work towards a worthy article, rather than a deletion nomination. Metao 01:42, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] References

I've removed 3 of the links formerly under "References", as they weren't actually referencing anything in the article (the one remaining ref encompasses the others). Feel free to re-add if specific information is referenced. — Lomn 15:09, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
