Route 68 is a south-north in Massachusetts. From its southern terminus in Holden, Route 68 passes through the following towns:
Route 68 has varied terrain. It is a state highway in Holden, Rutland, and Hubbardston, a major city street of Gardner, and a bumpy country road in Royalston. Additionally, Route 68 has a wrong-way concurrency with U.S. Route 202 in Templeton for approximately two miles.
