MassResistance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
MassResistance, formerly known as the Parents' Rights Coalition and later the Article 8 Alliance, is a Massachusetts group that is opposed to same-sex marriage and homosexuality and is headed by conservative activist Brian Camenker. The group has criticized former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for not opposing same-sex marriage while in office[1][2] and has fought against students being taught to tolerate homosexuality[3]. MassResistance's website often targets the transgender community and they have been criticized for promoting anti-gay studies that lack scientific merit.[4] As of March 2008, the Southern Poverty Law Center has identified MassResistance as an anti-gay hate group.[5]
