Masako Watanabe

Masako Watanabe (わたなべまさこ Watanabe Masako?, born 1929-05-16, in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese manga artist. She began her professional career as an illustrator of books in 1949, and made her debut as a manga creator in 1952 with Namida no Sanbika. In 1971, she received the Shogakukan Manga Award for Glass no Shiro.[1] In the 1970s, she turned from shōjo to redisu-josei, with titles such as Kinpeibai.
