[edit] Tempsford
Hi Mark. I was at Tempsford on Saturday for the Summer Reunion. I've done a write-up on my blog. I've got a few more photos of Tempsford which I could send you if they're of any interest. Dahliarose 11:54, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for finding Sgt Shearer. I looked on the CWGC before but gave up when I saw how many Shearers there were. It's very odd that he was buried in Falmouth. I wonder if he died on a bombing aid when he was home on leave. I've now updated my page so you might want to print out the revised version instead. Has your father never wanted to go back to any of the Tempsford Reunions and take you along to show you where it all happened? Dahliarose 17:38, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've now been sent the details of Sgt Shearer's final op from the Bomber Command Losses book. I've updated the page for the third time today! Hope you don't run out of ink! I believe the new-format Tempsford Reunions started in about 2000. I'm sure you and/or your father would be welcome to come along if you were interested. You need to get in touch with Steve Harris, who runs the Tempsford Village website, or Bob Body, who has the website dedicated to the crew of his uncle's Hudson (both websites are linked on the Tempsford page). Hi Mark,
