Sorry, the stuff above is indeed just boilerplate. But this isn't.

Thank you for your welcome question in the AAVE talk page. Unfortunately that article attracts more than its share of underinformed, silly and even repellent comments; I do hope that you keep it on your watchlist and contribute to it. But I must sadly add that spending a disproportionate time on this article may be depressing: please leaven your experience here with edits to articles of little interest to curmudgeonly newspaper columnists.
