[edit] Marumakkathayam not unique to Nairs
Marumakkathayam is not unique to Nairs. It's also found in Ezhavas. eg: Alumoottil Tharavadu is an aristocratic Ezhava family who followed Marumakkathayam. I would be modifying the contents soon.
