Talk:Martino de Judicibus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] The point?
This article is barely even about Martino de Judicibus. There were 18 people who made the first circumnavigation, and other than Elcano and Pigafetta (who by their importance merit separate articles) this exact same article, with minor changes, could have been written about everyone else who survived on board the Victoria. The only bit of information present here that's not already on the list of 18 survivors that's posted on the Elcano page and other places on Wikipedia is that Martino was originally assigned to the Concepcion. 69.108.234.186 15:06, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge started
I started to merge the article in the Ferdinand Magellan one. However I think that such a article should be rewritten too. We should have an article about the trip itself and then few short articles with the biographies of the few participants anout whom we have some info. I would suggest to preserve for the article about the trip only, some of the good info I collected about the trip, as well as the trip map.--Dejudicibus (talk) 14:59, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing stopping you from creating new articles or editing existing ones. I just want to warn you that your edits may be reverted by other editors, and new articles may go through the process that this one went through. Nothing ventured nothing gained. BE BOLD. - Well, this is the way Wikipedia works. There is nothing wrong in that. What is important, it is that changes are based on objective considerations without any kind of discrimination. What has to be avoided are personal attacks and vandalism.--Dejudicibus (talk) 18:40, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

- Again, I am all for your contributions. I am not attacking you or vandalising anything. I truly believe there is something of merit here. However, I do think you should be prepared if other editors disagree. Mstuczynski (talk) 19:15, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
