[edit] Formatting issue

I tried to fix that error with the outlined box in the sandbox but i couldn't figure out what was doing it exactly. Can somebody deal with that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.13.202.104 (talk) 06:05, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wrong Photo

The photo is of his son, Martin Luther King, Jr. That is not a picture of Martin Luther King, Sr. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.151.116.83 (talk) 05:52, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name acquisition

Call me ignorant, but I think the article should in some way explain how Michael King's name was changed to Martin Luther King (Sr.). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.73.38.45 (talk • contribs) 17 January 2006.

Well, the article explains that he changed his name, and if someone could provide a reference as to why he did so, it would be a welcome addition. But how he went about legally changing his name (that is, the legal basis, the fee and the paperwork) is hardly interesting enough to deserve special mention in the article, even if someone could provide a reference. --Bwiki 00:06, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
It doesn't even. It just says that he was born Michael King and allows the reader to deduce from that that at some point he changed his name. Any explanation of the circumstances under which he changed his name would be welcome. Somewhere I heard a rumor that he changed his name after MLK Jr. was born, and that MLK Jr. himself was originally Michael King, Jr., but there's no mention of that at Martin Luther King Jr.. —Angr 21:39, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "THE GREAT"?

Is there some reason that the article begins with "THE GREAT Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr."? If this is his legitimate title, then it's fine, but I'm more inclined to think somebody just got a little overenthusiastic. 67.34.238.36 03:50, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
