At the 2003 Outmusic Awards, Mark Weigle received an unprecedented 5 Outmusic nominations and won in 3 categories, including: Outsong of the Year, Outstanding New Recording, and Outstanding Producer.

  • Different and the Same (2003) was featured in The Advocate, Out, and Billboard. Reuters News Agency featured the Billboard story on subscriber homepages as the "Top Entertainment News" story.
  • Mark’s 3rd CD "Out of the Loop" was heralded by a 1000-word feature in Billboard Magazine, and in The Advocate and OUT magazines.
  • This Way Out, the internationally syndicated LGBT radio program, chose each of Mark’s 3 CDs among the Top 5 Best of the Year.

Billboard Magazine talent editor Larry Flick chose Mark’s "All That Matters" among his Top 10 Best CDs of the Year in their Critic’s Choice issue. Billboard also named "A Good Day" Record of the Year in a piece called "Unsigned Artists Who Deserve Grammy Recognition."

Stonewall Society's Pride in the Arts Music Awards named "Out" Pride Song of the Year for 2003. Mark was also named Favorite Male Artist of 2002.

Outvoice.com voters made "The Truth Is" and "All That Matters" CD of the Year in 1999 and 2000 respectively. Mark holds records on Outvoice for most weeks at #1 and most total votes. He had 3 songs among the top 10 tracks of 2000.

The USA Songwriting Competition, "The World’s Largest Songwriting Competition", chose Mark as Artist of the Month. Mark’s "I Confess" was among 20 winning songs from 4 continents.

The Gay/Lesbian American Music Awards (GLAMA) nominated Mark for Debut Artist of the Year and Out Song of the Year.

Mark’s CDs have received enthusiastic reviews in national press including Billboard, Request, Dirty Linen, Sing Out, The Advocate, OUT, Hero, Genre, Performing Songwriter, Outrage (Australia), and Siegessaule (Germany). GAYBC.com Radio. Syndicated music reviewers Gregg Shapiro and Margaret Coble’s Top 10 of the Year. Gay.com’s Hero of the Month.
