[edit] NPOV
There used to be an non-neutral point of view warning on this article. I just did a massive re-write (well, reformat), so I hope that took care of it. But no one noted down what exactly was biased about the article, so I have no idea.
Someone with a more in-depth knowledge of Wikipedia's arcane rules should probably once it over for me. For example, Lowry (it sounds so weird to call him "Lowry") is a devout Christian. How does one say that in a NPOV?
And while you're at it, check the spelling. My spell checker is kind of on the fritz. Odd, I know :-) --Daniel Royer 06:33, 17 September 2005 (UTC)
- One way is to point out that he specializes in Christian comedy and records with Christian groups. While that's not the same as being a devout Christian, the two usually go together. Another way is to quote a reliable source as a way of giving outside verification of the statement; articles or interviews would be simple sources to find. Additionally, of course, there's the point that "devout" isn't necessarily a necessary or even useful term. Lawikitejana 02:41, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Picture

I grabbed that off of Google somewhere. I probably should have noted the source down.
So it is probably violating some manner of copyright law, and it should probably be deleted.
That said, if I were to take one of my video box covers and scan it, would the resulting picture be okay to upload? Would that be "fair use"? --Daniel Royer 06:33, 17 September 2005 (UTC)
- Someone has been trying to post or link a publicity photo from some theater, which is likely a copyright violation. I got a scan of one of his albums instead, which qualifies as fair use. Realkyhick 21:05, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyvio
I have created a new article for Mark Lowry at Mark Lowry/Temp I've utilized material that I found on Mark Lowry's website and tried to digest it and paraphrase it into something that hopefully doesn't violate copyrights and is not a cut and paste of the Mark Lowry biography on the website.
