I was in my 40s, living in Nashville, Tennessee. What little interest I had in baseball was virtually gone, and this for a boy raised in St. Louis! Flipping channels sometime in the 1990s, I happened across a Brave game in progress. I saw this little guy trap a fast, twisting grounder with applomb and fire it to first for an out. I was astounded; I didn't know anyone could do something like that. I thought he played SS at the time. I watched the rest of the game just to see this guy--Mark Lemke--work, and I wasn't disappointed. It was that experience of watching Lemke play that totally sparked my lasting interest in baseball. Thank you, Mark!
