[edit] Style

The style of this article is more praising then informative, like liner notes on the back of a record. To much opinion is expressed, words like "legendary", "mastery", "very finest players", "phenomenal", "good taste" etc. Information needs to be separated out and written plainly without a persuasive style, and organized (no pun intended) into headings. --Dood77 00:26, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

  • I have cleaned up the more overtly promotional language. It is hard to discuss Mme. Alain without hyperbole, since she truly is a titan of the world of organ. I have heard her play, she is quite astonishing. Actually if one can use the world legendary in a Wikipedia article, then this is the place for it. She really is a legend. [edit] composer?

Sooooo, this came up on the List of organists as well, but was she actually a composer? Mak (talk) 20:57, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Like most accomplished organists, she's published a few compositions -- I was able to find a couple of arrangements, and there may be more. She's not renowned for her compositions, but rather for her performing ability. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 04:37, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
