[edit] Partnership

Here it says she formed a partnership with Kingston, but ADB says Hartney. I'm not sure which is correct. —Moondyne 06:33, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Nay, the ref is a different sheila. However, Sheila [McClemans] and her friend Molly Kingston formed a partnership and set up the first all woman law firm in Western Australia. [www.womenaustralia] but ADB credits Battye and Hartney as the first. They all graduated the same year; McClemans became notable for another line of work, so I gave it to Battye by default(!). I did my best to weasel out of it, adding it to the list of things to check - at the Battye. cygnis insignis 10:14, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
