Talk:Marcus Williams (University of Arizona)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I removed the deletion tag because I don't agree that Williams is a non-notable person. He is widely considered one of the top returning players in NCAA basketball. A number of sources project him as a lottery pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Additionally, there are a number of players in a position similar to William that have articles that ae not taged for deletion. If you still think that the Marcus Williams article is non-notable, please discus it here first, before you tag it for deletion again.Blackmagicfish 20:52, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Please read the tag: you may not delete the tag until the issue is addressed. Please add references which address the notability of this person, and I'll be satisfied. Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony 21:02, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- I was actually reading the part of the tag that said I could remove it if I objected for any reason. Also I wasn't sure if the objection was that the page was about someone who wasn't notable or if the article didn't explain why he was notable. Thank you for clarifing. I will start getting references that expain his notabilityBlackmagicfish 23:02, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
I added some information and references about his selectoin to the Pac-10 all freshman team and his three point shooting. I also added a reference that states that he is considered one of the top tallents in college basketball for the 2007 season. I think this is enough to show that he is notable, but I will leave the tag up for a while to give you time to look at my changes and give any advice or comments you might have.
