[edit] Route description
Maryland Route 180 runs in an east-west direction from U.S. Route 340 in Sandy Hook, Washington County east to Maryland Route 351 in Frederick.
[edit] History
Maryland Route 180 carried the designation U.S. 340 prior to the construction of the freeway that now carries that route.
[edit] Notes
At one point Ballenger Creek Pike carred the MD 180 designation from Frederick to Point Of Rocks. As a result the full route was semi-circular. This was changed when Ballenger Creek Pike was given the new route number of 351.
