Mary Brough

Mary Bessie Brough (1863 – 1934) was an English stage actress and star of silent films and early talkies, including several Aldwych farces.
Mary was the daughter of Lionel Brough, newspaper seller and actor, who started her stage career at Brighton and London. In middle-age she appeared in more than 60 films, both silent and talkies, where she was best known for playing fearsome Cockney women in farces.
She is buried at West Norwood Cemetery with her father.
