Marshfield is a defunct town in Scott County, Indiana which functioned as a water stop on the Jeffersonville, Madison and Indianapolis Railroad line about 3 miles northwest of Lexington, Indiana.
It was the site of the 3rd train robbery in US history in 1868 by the Reno Gang of nearby Jackson County, Indiana.
