Mark Wayne Chase

Mark Wayne Chase (born 1951) is a British botanist. He is noted for work in plant classification and evolution. In particular he has researched orchids. In 1998 he shared the Linnean Medal with C. Patterson. M. W. In 2008 he was one of thirteen recipients of the Darwin-Wallace Award, which is given every 50 years by the Linnean Society of London. Chase currently holds a position at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew[1]
