Mark Juergensmeyer

Mark Juergensmeyer is professor of sociology and global studies, affiliate professor of religious studies, and director of the Center for Global and International Studies, at University of California, Santa Barbara. His primary research interests are religion, religious terrorism, nationalism, and social ethics.[1] His publications include The Oxford Handbook of Global Religions,[2] Gandhi's Way: A Handbook of Conflict Resolution,[3] Terror in the Mind of God: The Global Rise of Religious Violence,[4] The New Cold War? Religious Nationalism Confronts the Secular State,[5] Violence and the Sacred in the Modern World.[6]
