Mark Deller

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mark Deller is a countertenor, the son of the first modern countertenor, Alfred Deller. Mark Deller has been a member of the choirs of St John's College, Cambridge, and St Paul's Cathedral. Since 1962 he has been a member of the Deller Consort. He has tended to sing in ensembles rather than as a soloist. However, Vanguard Records released Henry Purcell´s duet Sound the Trumpet with father and son as the two countertenor soloists. His discography also includes Handel's dramatic oratorio Semele.
