Mariposario

El Mariposario (English: The Butterfly Vivarium) is a large outdoors vivarium located in the Colombian city of Calarcá, Quindío. It shelters about 1200 species of butterflies natives of Colombia, that can be seen inside a butterfly-shaped structure of 640m2.

This specialized insectarium is functioning since 1985, and is open to public from 09:00 to 17:00 hs. The visit includes the near Botanical Garden.
