The Marine Corps Mobilization Command is the administrative support unit for all SMCR (Selected Marine Corps Reserve), IRR (Individual Ready Reserve), and IMA (Individual Mobilization Augmentee) Marine Reservists. The Mobilization Command handles all administrative matters for reservists in the Marine Corps. Formerly known as MCRSC (Marine Corps Reserve Support Command) it is located on the deactivated Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base (closed 1992) in Belton, Missouri (south Kansas City). Most of the Marines stationed here are administrative apecialists, with a few communications, supply, and motor transport Marines supporting them. There are also many civil service and civilian contractor employees. The main switchboard for Marine reservists to call is 1-800-255-5082. The Marine Corps Mobilization Command is a subordinate unit to Marine Forces Reserve, headquartered in New Orleans.
