Marian Washington is Kansas University’s former Women’s Basketball Coach. Marian’s longevity as KU Women’s Basketball Coach exceeded 30 years. Throughout her career, Marian achieved multiple awards and accomplishments which include: achieving membership in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, leading KU into extensive victories, coaching her team in a number of NCAA Tournaments, and being awarded the Black Coaches Association Lifetime Achievement Award.
Marian’s strength in character remains consistent throughout her retirement as she continues to lead others to reaching their potential. Marian fosters success through her endeavors in the fitness industry and as a role model in education. Through her multiple awards and accomplishments, Marian has maintained her level-headedness. Marian recognizes that guidance and determination are necessary to reach lifelong goals.
