Marian Chandler (previously Colby) is a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama All My Children. She has been portrayed by Jennifer Bassey from 1983 to 1985 and briefly in 1989 and 1990 and since 1995.

One could say that Marian is the original desperate housewife. She had a torrid affair with her teenaged daughter Liza's boyfriend Tad Martin. A devastated Liza left town. After her husband Larry's heart attack, she had a fling with Zach Grayson, a two bit con. When he was killed, Palmer Cortlandt's ex-wife Daisy was put on trial for the crime. It soon came to light that Marian was the murderer. Due to the circumstances, she only received a six month sentence.
After her release from prison, she obtained a real estate license and tried again to seduce her former lover, Tad Martin. Upon Liza's return, their relationship remained tempestuous. Marian soon took up with the nafarious Dr. Jonathan Kinder, who romanced her out of her fortune. Soon after she moved into the Chandler Mansion determined to help her daughter with her divorce from Adam Chandler.
In an attempt to seduce Adam for the purpose of getting the dirt needed for Liza's pending divorce, Marian jumped in the sack with the wrong brother! After doing the deed with a slumbering Stuart, it came out in court that he was the one who slept with Marian. After that the two fell in love and had a theme wedding dressed as King and Queen of Hearts.
