Mari Khokhran is a remote village in district Gujrat, in Central Punjab, Pakistan. Its situated on bank of River Chenab.
Residents are mostly farmers, some fortunate one able to find labour employment in middle east states and send back money for families sacrificing the family life itself.
Few has moved to cities for better education of children and family welfare.

Electricity, Telephone are now provided to this remote village after ages of efforts by residents. Natural Gas provision is underway and due to complete at some point in 2007.
Nearest health center is Rural Health Centre about 6 miles away.

Mari has primary and middle schools for boys and girls. The nearest high school Barkar Memorial High Schoil is few miles away at Shampur bus stop.

Regular day time van and bus services run towards Mirala, Tanda, Sialkot and Gujrat.

Mari is a local union council and local body that represent the local 10 or more villages. members are elected every 4 years. elected members of Unision council of Mari then elect Nazim (Mayor/Chairman) and naib Nazim (Vice Chairman/ Mayor).
