Margaret Stenersen Elementary is a public elementary school in Abbotsford, British Columbia part of School District 34 Abbotsford.
Margaret Stenersen Elementary School opened in 1965 . In 1998, an addition of 6 classes was built. École Margaret Stenersen School is a dual-track kindergarten to Grade 5 school consisting of the English regular program and the French Immersion program. The school currently enrols 310 students. We have 17 teachers, 2 teacher assistants, 1 secretaries and 2 custodial staff. Our school consists of 15 classrooms, a bilingual library, two fully networked computer labs and a multipurpose room used for art and music. Margaret Stenersen’s playgrounds offers a variety of activities for the students. It has a soccer field, two baseball diamonds, a covered area for wet weather, a number of tether ball stations, a basketball court and various basketball hoops. Swings, a variety of monkey bars, a playstation and picnic tables are also found in our playground. A new playground was installed in 2003.
