Margaret Markey

Margaret Markey represents District 30 in the New York State Assembly, which is made up of Maspeth and Woodside, as well as portions of Middle Village, Astoria, Sunnyside and Long Island City.

First elected in 1998, she is the current Chairwoman of the Assembly House Operations Committee, as well as the President of the New York State American Irish Legislators Society.

She is married to State Supreme Court Judge Charles Markey and is a graduate of Berkeley Business School.
