Margaret Hillert (1920-) is an American author and poet. Hillert is known primarily for her children's literature, having written over eighty books for beginning readers.[1] Best known for her popular Dear Dragon series, Hillert is a retired first grade teacher and currently resides in southeast Michigan.[2]
