Marek Becka

Marek Becka is founder of Buchty a Loutky ("Cakes and Puppets") and lecturer in puppetry, Alternative and Puppet Department of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, Prague,Czech Republic.

Becka is a highly talented and creative puppeteer and lecturer in puppetry.[1] He has been invited to give master classes in Hong Kong and Netherlands. [2] Becka is a graduate of the the Prague Academy of Performing Arts in Puppetry.[3] He is also a skilled director and writer. His enormous vision has seen the founding of Buchty a Loutky ("Cakes and Puppets") puppet company in 1991,[4] which has presented over many years a great range of offerings including Rocky IX and Tibet.[5]Buchty a Loutky is famous all over Europe through its tours.[6]
