Marconi Stadium

Marconi Stadium is an association football (soccer) stadium in Fairfield, New South Wales, Australia. It is mainly is used for Association football and is the home ground for the Marconi Stallions team.

The stadium has a capacity of 11,500 and was built in 1972. The stadium has hosted rugby league internationals in the past.[1]

In November 2006 Berti Mariani ran for election to the board, on a platform of Marconi making a bid to join the A-League, and rebuilding Marconi Stadium into suitable venue. [2]. As Berti Mariani was not elected, there are no current plans to rebuild the ground.

The venue will be used for a Socceroos training camp from January 7 - January 8 as part of their preparation for their 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.
