Marco Rizi

Marco Rizi (born September 15, 1968) is a former Canadian professional soccer player. Rizi played in the American Professional Soccer League, professional indoor soccer, and briefly in Major League Soccer.

A 6'1, 185 lbs. defender, Rizi played several indoor seasons beginning with the Cleveland Crunch of the Major Indoor Soccer League in c.1989. He played the 1993 and 1994 outdoor seasons with the Montreal Impact of the APSL, scoring once in '93 and twice in '94. He went on to play for the Seattle Sounders and Buffalo Blizzard of the National Professional Soccer League in 1996-97 and 1997-98. In 1997 he played for the New York / New Jersey MetroStars, coming on to play 33 minutes as a substitute in one game. At some point Rizi also played soccer for a team in Rochester, NY.

Rizi played in 12 'A' internationals for the Canadian national soccer team in 1992, 1993, and 1995. He had played for the National Youth side under Tony Taylor in the 1980s.

Rizi is currently soccer coach with Fairview High School in Fairview Park, Ohio.
