Marco Mazzi(born May 5, 1980) is an Italian contemporary artist and filmmaker. Starting as poet and curator of books of poetry (like the book The Other Voice[1]which is the first Italian translation of Yoshimasu Gozo's poetry) has developed interest in photography and film making, in effort to use the image directly, avoiding linguistic or literary filters.

Mazzi studied Contemporary Literature at the University of Florence, and stayed long periods in Japan studying Japanese avant-garde artists and visual poetry. He held various exhibitions in which at the 798 Art District in Beijing (China)[2], the Komaba Art Museum of Tokyo (Japan)[3], the Torino “Artissima” Art Fair (Italy)[4]. In January 2008 The Watari Museum of Contemporary Art of Tokyo held the first solo exhibition of the artist in Japan, and Mazzi’s film Voyager, a Journey Through Time and Water (2005-2008)[5] was premiered.
