Marco Bollesan

Marco Bollesan (July 7, 1941) is an Italian former rugby union player.
Born in Chioggia, he moved to Genoa, where he began to play for CUS Genoa team. During the military service he practiced rowing for the Italian National Military selection, but afterwards he returned to rugby, debuting with Italian team at Grenoble in 1963. He received a total of 47 caps with the Italian team, 37 of which as captain.
In 1965 he won the scudetto for Partenope Napoli. Bollesan, who played as amateur for much of his career, working for Italsider, was later manager for Amatori Milano, Livorno Rugby and Alghero, as well as of CUS Genoa. In 1985-1988 he was manager of the Italian national team. He is currently responsible for public relations for the Italian Rugby Federation.
