Marcello Gazzola

Alessandro Gazzola (born April 3, 1985) is an Italian footballer who plays for Serie A side Catania Calcio as a forward. He was born in Borgotaro.

Gazzola started his youth career at Sambenedettese, who he joined as a fifteen-year-old at the beginning of the 2004-05 season. Having made five appearances during the season, he went for two short loan spells to Venezia, one at the beginning of the 2005-06 season and the second at the beginning of the 2006-07 season. During his second spell at Sambenedettese, between loan spells, Gazzola played thirteen times, before moving briefly to Torres, for whom he played fourteen times, scoring one goal.
