Marc Wootton

Marc Wootton is an English character comedian. He is perhaps best known for his role as an obviously fake medium and psychic, Shirley Ghostman, on the BBC Three series, High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman.
Wootton previously starred in the Channel 4 comedy show The Eleven O'Clock Show then the comedy gameshow My New Best Friend, in which contestants had to convince their closest friends and relatives that the most awful of people (played by Wootton) were their new best friends for a prize of £10,000, E4 comedy The Pilot Show and the BBC Sitcom Thin Ice. He most recently starred in a new BBC Three sketch show, Marc Wootton Exposed, the first series of which started on 13 January and finished on 25 February 2008.[1]
He also played a small role in the 2006 wedding film Confetti as a best man, Snoopy, and has completed filming Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, a science fiction comedy film with Chris O'Dowd, Dean Lennox Kelly and Anna Faris, which is due for release in Autumn 2008.
Wootton made a cameo appearance as Duncan in series 2 episode 4 of Gavin and Stacey on BBC3 broadcast on March 30th 2008.
Wootton is from south east Hampshire, UK and attended Clanfield Middle School and Horndean Community School between 1983 and 1991, and South Downs College.
