Marc H. Bornstein

Marc H. Bornstein is Senior Investigator and Head of Child and Family Research at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
His Ph.d. is from Yale University. He has been a faculty member at Princeton University and New York University, and a visiting scientist, fellow, or professor at over eight universities and research institutes, including the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich University College London, Université René Descartes in Paris, the University of Tokyo, and the Sorbonne
In addition to over 100 scientific papers, he is coauthor of the widely used textbook Development in Infancy, now in its 4th edition, and of Developmental Psychology: An Advanced Textbook;, also now in its 4th edition. He has also written several popular books, including the widely used Handbook of Parenting--and several children's books and videos.
He is the editor of the two series Monographs in Parenting and Crosscurrents in Contemporary Psychology , and has been editor of the journals Child Development and Parenting: Science and Practice.
He wrote the chapter of "Human Behavior " for the Encyclopedia Britannica [1]
He has received the following major honors and awards:

- C. S. Ford Cross-Cultural Research Award from the Human Relations Area Files,
- B. R. McCandless Young Scientist Award from the American Psychological Association,
