Maréchal, nous voilà !

Maréchal, nous voilà ! (Marshal, here we are!) is a French song dedicated to Marshal Pétain. Lyrics were composed by André Montagnard, and music was attributed to André Montagnard and Charles Courtioux. The song was performed by André Dassary and whole school children in unoccupied France and Algeria during Vichy France.
La Marseillaise remained the official anthem of the state, but a popular though unofficial patriotic song was Maréchal, nous voilà !. Officially, the song was created in 1940, but Montagnard and Curtioux actually reused another song dedicated to the Tour de France called Voilà le Tour qui passe. The first two lines of that song were: Attention, les voilà ! les coureurs, les géants de la route.
The music was plagiarized from Casimir Oberfeld, who was later deported and murdered at Auschwitz in 1945.
