Founded in 1996 as an on-line entity. MARNA was first hosted on the Geocities web site. Later the URL http://marylandnudism.com was acquired 2001, and various eGroups were established all with the goal of promoting Naturism amongst single persons. Presently the organisation has established 8 Yahoo!Groups© (formerly eGroups), maintains it's URL, as well as a presence on MySpace©, and Facebook©. Utilizing these varied methods of establishing an on-line presence has aided MARNA in gaining more members and reaching a younger demographic.
