[edit] Summary

Description

Popular Landform in Cydonia Region (PSP_003234_2210). The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured this image of an eroded mesa made famous by its similarity to a human face in a Viking 1 Orbiter image with much lower spatial resolution and a different lighting geometry. North is up on this image, and objects ~90 cm across are resolved. This image is a cropped version of a map projected grayscale image available here. Cropping was done by User:Plumbago using Paint Shop Pro 9.
