St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Prayikkara, Mavelikkara

In The Year of Our Lord 1329, 9th of August, His Holiness Pope John 22 founded the Eparchy of Kollam as per his order Romaus Pontifex .

The Prayikkara church situated in Mavelikaraa was founded on the name of the Holy Virgin Mary.The most important event in this church is the celebration of the immaculate conception of the Holy Virgin. Feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated on December -8 every year.
